Ally and Villain

Star Wars Imperial Assault - Allies and Villains

Han Solo Ally Pack

The most famous smuggler, rogue and pilot of them all: Han Solo!

And together with his loyal friend Chewbacca.

And for the fun of it an comparison shot with the old WotC range, an improvement, or?

Chewbacca Ally Pack

One of my least favourite SW characters: Chewie. Still a nice enough mini and very good to play!

Wookiee Warriors Ally Pack

As a slave race under the Galactic Empire, the Wookiees are understandably eager to aid the Rebel Alliance and throw off the shackles of oppression. Natural strength and stamina, combined with combat skills, make every Wookiee a deadly opponent.

The recently released Ally Pack was just too nice to be left out. Funny thing is that I am one of the few Star Wars fans that are NOT Wookie/ Chewie fans! But to play with them is just nice. They also paint up in minutes! As usual you get identical minis, so again time for a slight conversion, this time a simple weapon swap. The darker Wookie got a resin after market Power-Kopesh!

Rebel Saboteurs Ally Pack

The Rebel Alliance fights against unimaginable odds. The Empire holds countless star systems in its grasp, and it has the material to manufacture thousands of warships and weapons every day. For the Rebel Alliance to ever achieve victory, they need some way to combat this power. Thankfully, the Rebellion has some members with a special talent for explosive solutions who can ensure that a key factory suffers unaccountable setbacks or a prototype starship never reaches development.

As usual I could not resist to convert one of the two identical minis a bit. I added a human head and repositioned the blaster arm a bit, after that a slightly different paint job and the two look no more like twins.

Rebel Trooper Ally Pack

I finished my Scarif themed Rebels. Since I really did not liked the look of the Rebels in Episode IV (I just do NOT like the Correllian vest look), I decided to convert some minis to make them look like tough Scarif troopers.

The females are Victoria resin Guard minis, the man is based on a GW Imperial Guard Cadian, I only swapped the head with one of the FFG Rebels.

After the release of a Rogue One Pao look alike by Brother Vinni, I had to add him to the Scarif squad!
Paodok'Draba'Takat, most commonly known as Pao, was a male Drabatan soldier who served as a commando in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War, and took part in the Battle of Scarif. Prior to the Battle of Scarif, Corporal Pao carried out a demolitions job on Foerost where he took out a communications tower similar to the one on Scarif. He was killed during the Battle of Scarif, along with the rest of Rogue One.

R2-D2 and C3-PO Ally Pack

The two most famous droids of the galaxy! ‘Nuff said...

Hera and Chopper Ally Pack

I liked Clone Wars and I like Rebels, you can imagine that I was happy when FFG announced the Hera and Chopper pack! I would love to a dedicated “Rebels” campaign for Imperial Assault.

“Hera Syndulla was a Twi'lek female revolutionary who became a central figure in the early rebellion against the Galactic Empire and the formation of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Born the daughter of General Cham Syndulla on Ryloth, she saw firsthand the devastation of the Clone Wars and the reign of the Empire on her homeworld. Syndulla became an expert pilot and left her homeworld and her father's planetary resistance behind, setting off across the galaxy to build her own resistance movement against the Empire aboard her starship, the Ghost. Kanan Jarrus, a Jedi who survived Order 66, joined her during the Gorse conflict. Her crew, which mounted an insurgency on Lothal, eventually was comprised of Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren, Lasat survivor Garazeb Orrelios, Syndulla's life-long astromech droid Chopper, and Padawan Ezra Bridger.

The rebellion Syndulla led on Lothal attracted the attention of such Imperial leaders as Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin and the Sith Lord Darth Vader, but it also gained notice by Senator Bail Organa and his efforts to coordinate activities between various rebel cells in the galaxy. One of those cells was Phoenix Squadron, which Syndulla and her crew joined in 4 BBY. Syndulla herself became Phoenix Leader, leading various starfighter operations for the cell. In 2 BBY, the cell became one of the first to join the Rebel Alliance upon its formation. Their forces were devastated by Grand Admiral Thrawn during the battle of Atollon, and Syndulla helped the Rebel Alliance rebuild at their headquarters on Yavin 4. Syndulla was promoted to the rank of General and became a member of Alliance High Command. She continued to serve the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War and was present on Endor following the Alliance's triumph over the Empire and the death of Emperor Palpatine.” from starwars.wikia.com

“C1-10P, commonly known as "Chopper," was a C1-series astromech droid with masculine programming who was active during the Clone Wars and the early years of the Galactic Empire. He was a member of the Spectres, a rebel cell led by the Twi'lek captain Hera Syndulla and the Jedi Kanan Jarrus that fought against the Empire. He was responsible for maintaining the Ghost, a modified VCX-100 light freighter which served as the rebel cell's main base of operations. During his time with the crew of the Ghost, Chopper took part in numerous raids and missions against Imperial targets.

Due to his old age and lack of regular maintenance, Chopper developed an argumentative, cantankerous, and mischievous personality. Despite these personality flaws, he was a loyal member of his rebel crew. Later, Chopper and his fellow rebels joined the Phoenix Squadron, which was part of the rebellion. In 3 BBY, he befriended the Imperial RA-7 protocol droid AP-5. Together, the two played an important role in helping the Phoenix rebels discover a new base on the planet Atollon, which was named Chopper Base in Chopper's honor.” from starwars.wikia.com

Ahsoka Tano Ally Pack

After painting Hera and Chopper it was only a matter time to paint Ashoka for me.

“Ahsoka Tano, nicknamed "Snips" by her Master and known as "Ashla" after the Clone Wars, was a Jedi Padawan who, after the conflict, helped establish a network of various rebel cells against the Galactic Empire. A Togruta female, Tano was discovered on her homeworld of Shili by Jedi Master Plo Koon, who brought her to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to receive Jedi training. Following the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Jedi Grand Master Yoda assigned the young Tano to be the Padawan learner of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, whom she joined at the Battle of Christophsis. Whereas Tano was eager to prove herself, Skywalker had a reputation for recklessness, and they had a rather difficult start as Master and apprentice. Yet, they worked together to rescue Rotta, the son of crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure, and returned Rotta to his father, thus facilitating a crucial alliance between the Hutt Clan and the Galactic Republic.

After the Galactic Empire came to power, Tano went into hiding on Thabeska and Raada. Following the evacuation of Raada, Tano joined Senator Bail Organa's growing rebel movement. She became the manager of his intelligence network and adopted the codename "Fulcrum." As Fulcrum, Tano provided intelligence to various rebel factions including Hera Syndulla's Spectres rebel cell. Tano took a particular interest in Syndulla's rebels because one of their members, a former Jedi named Kanan Jarrus, had begun to train his own Padawan, Ezra Bridger. In addition, Tano's efforts against the Empire brought her into contact with Skywalker, who by then had become the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader, as well as the Imperial Inquisitors known as the Fifth Brother and the Seventh Sister. Following the mission to Malachor, Tano became lost to the rubble and shadows of the Sith temple and was believed by many including Jarrus and Bridger to have perished during a duel with Darth Vader.

However, Tano was unexpectedly saved from Vader's wrath by a future Ezra Bridger, who pulled her through a time portal into the world between worlds, a dimension of the Force connecting all time and space. After a confrontation with Darth Sidious, who desired access to the dimension, Tano returned to her time, promising Bridger that she would find him once she returned. After the end of the Galactic Civil War, Tano returned to a freed Lothal and joined Sabine Wren in her quest to find a missing Bridger, who had disappeared during the liberation of Lothal. ” from starwars.wikia.com

Since Legion is out we also have a nice Rex stand in, I really like the above group!

Imperial General Weiss

The main villain of the IA starter box!

While smugglers flout Imperial law, there are those who are completely committed to upholding the Empire. One of these men is General Weiss, a field commander of Imperial forces. On the battlefield, General Weiss’s customized walker is a formidable presence. The Epic Arsenal ability illustrates its firepower. General Weiss also possesses a keen tactical mind and an understanding that, in battle, positioning is one of your most valuable assets.

I added a communication array (OK just an antenna) on the right side of the walker, opened the cupola, scratched the mold lines as usual, sanded it, drilled holes in the barrels and finally painted the Generals prototype AT-ST. And since I wanted an even darker look, I used a dark German WW II grey and some weathering here and there, mostly Pigments from MIG and some edge rust and highlights. The red striping also helps to distinguish the walker on the tabletop.

Royal Guard Champion Villain Pack

Very Crimson Empire looking! A great dynamic sculpt.

General Sorin

The main villain of the Return to Hoth expansion!

A very nice minaiture and ajoy to paint.

General Sorin is the commander of an armored division of the Empire’s forces, and whether he takes the field in a campaign or a skirmish, he’ll quickly revolutionize the way you use your Droids and Vehicles.

As an officer, General Sorin truly enters his own when he leads a division of armor against enemy forces.

ISB Agent Blaise

Throughout the galaxy, Emperor Palpatine’s Galactic Empire has created an atmosphere of suffocating fear and submission. No one dares to speak out, and those who do are quickly and efficiently silenced. These terror tactics are the work of the Imperial Security Bureau, the Empire’s secret police. Anyone you know could secretly be an ISB agent, and these agents are renowned for their lack of moral compunctions. Only the most foolish Rebels would dare to take the ISB lightly.

On Cloud City, the ISB operatives are commanded by none other than Agent Blaise, a cunning and dangerous interrogator and warrior.

ISB Infiltrator

The Imperial Security Bureau works tirelessly throughout the galaxy to crush sedition and destroy the so-called Rebel Alliance. ISB agents are legendarily dangerous, and some move beyond mere observation or targeted raids. These agents create false lives for themselves, giving themselves reasons to hate the Empire—and then they join the Rebellion.
Once inside, these operatives can cause irreparable damage: leaking information, battle plans, and vital data to the Empire. Entire Rebel cells may be caught and executed because they chose to trust the wrong person. Yet if the Rebels trust no one and live in fear, the Empire has already won.

The Inquisitor

The Grand Inquisitor, commonly known simply as the Inquisitor, was the name adopted by a Pau'an male Jedi Knight who turned to the dark side of the Force and became the leader of the Inquisitorius, a band of Jedi hunters who served the Galactic Empire. The Grand Inquisitor was once a Jedi Temple Guard and was involved in the events surrounding the bombing of the Jedi Temple during the Clone Wars, arresting the innocent and later exonerated Padawan Ahsoka Tano as well as the true culprit, Barriss Offee. After his fall to the dark side, the Grand Inquisitor was responsible for hunting down and eliminating Jedi during the Jedi Purge. He personally served the Sith Lord Darth Vader, from whom he received his orders, and was intimately familiar with the records of the Jedi Temple.

The Grand Inquisitor took an active interest in eliminating the rebel crew of the starship Ghost, particularly the Jedi Kanan Jarrus and his Padawan, Ezra Bridger. He encountered these two Jedi on a number of occasions, including a Duel on Stygeon Prime and a duel on the asteroid base Fort Anaxes. After the Grand Inquisitor and the government of Lothal, from which the rebels operated, were consistently unable to eliminate the rebels, Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin arrived on Lothal to hunt for the rebels. Together, they captured Jarrus and hoped to use him to learn more about a larger rebel movement that was operating in the galaxy. They brought Jarrus to Mustafar, where the rebels mounted a rescue mission in orbit. During the operation, the Grand Inquisitor engaged Jarrus and Bridger in lightsaber combat, and Jarrus eventually bested him. Rather than face the infamous wrath of Darth Vader for his repeated failures, the Grand Inquisitor chose to fall to his death.

Sometime after his death, a vision of the Grand Inquisitor as his former Jedi Temple Guard self appeared to Jarrus in the Jedi Temple on Lothal. In the vision, this Sentinel warned Jarrus that Bridger could fall to the dark side, and the two engaged in a lightsaber duel. After Jarrus refused to fight any further, the Sentinel knighted Jarrus and told him he was a Jedi Knight as the Grand Inquisitor once was. Once inside, these operatives can cause irreparable damage: leaking information, battle plans, and vital data to the Empire. Entire Rebel cells may be caught and executed because they chose to trust the wrong person. Yet if the Rebels trust no one and live in fear, the Empire has already won.

Death Trooper

Far more deadly than an Imperial Stormtrooper, Death Troopers are an elite group of soldiers specialized in guarding high-ranking Imperial officers.
The mini is a minor conversion, I used a female head for the mini since the mini is bigger than a IA Storm Trooper but a bit smaller than a Legion DT.

Bossk Villain Pack

IG-88, Bossk and Boba

Boba Fett Villain Pack

One of the most beloved 2nd line characters of the original trilogy - Boba Fett! It is a very dynamic sculpt, which I wanted to emphasise by putting the mini on a fitting base.

IG-88 Villain Pack

IG-88, IMO one of the most hilarious designs of the original trilogy!

Kayn Somos Villain Pack

Kayn Somos was an Imperial stormtrooper commander active during the height of the Galactic Civil War. He was particularly infamous for being ruthless in his tactics, as well as being particularly vicious and ruthless even by stormtrooper standards, let alone stormtrooper commander standards. He also headed the Stormtrooper training facility on Morvogodine, which often sent stormtroopers on "peacekeeping" missions as final tests, and much like its commander was rather notorious for being very vicious.
Owing to his status as a stormtrooper commander, he lives and dies for the Empire, and also holds command over both regular stormtroopers and Heavy Stormtroopers. His brutality also shows with his frequent use of firing squads.
Kayn Somos is a character that was introduced in one of the Villain Packs of Star Wars: Imperial Assault.
